Mitochondrial Energy

The role of mitochondrial function in health and disease has become increasingly recognized, particularly in the last two decades. Mitochondrial dysfunction as well as disruptions of cellular bioenergetics have been shown to be ubiquitous in some of the most prevalent diseases in our society, such as type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, metabolic syndrome, cancer, and Alzheimer’s disease.  See source.

We start to make less mitochondrial energy around age 30, and it has been called The Delcine of Life's Energy, or DOLE.  This is one big reason we use supplements such as CoQ10, l-carnitine, D-ribose, magnesium, glutatione, riboflavin, lipoic acid, NAD, methylene blue, to name some of the important "mito-stars."

Learn more about mitochondrial energy and its influence on health and disease and how you can help better maintain more youthful levels as you age.
